Because most AMI interpreters belong to AIIC, the International Association of Conference Interpreters, which groups together almost 3,000 highly skilled professionals worldwide and guarantees the in-depth preparation of its members. Besides being active on the private freelance market, many of our interpreters work for international and European institutions, including the European Parliament, the European Commission and the Council of Europe. Many of our translators are members of AITI, the Italian Association of Interpreters and Translators, the first association of its kind, founded in 1950; a large percentage of AITI members are literary or technical and scientific translators.
